Warning, I’m about to get really vulnerable. None of that fake it ‘til you make it bullshit. I’m sharing my real experience and results from my first webinar which is vastly different from a lot of the testimonials you’ll see floating around.
After blogging for years I wanted to find a way to connect with my audience more, something more personal, more fun and easier to consume. Several of the biz babes I admire were really getting into live webinars and I knew that it was something I wanted to try, especially since I was working on a digital product and wanted a way to get it in front of people. So I decided to jump in and do my first live webinar. Side note: Simply deciding to do it was a bit step for me. I was one of those people who basically wanted to drop out of college just because of the required speech class. I’m not a public speaker, but I knew this would be one of the biggest steps I could take to change my business.
HOW I PLANNED
The very first thing I did was set a date. I wrote it in my calendar for a few weeks in the future, in pen, so that it would be harder to back out and I had an end date to plan around. Then I got to work on a topic. I knew I wanted to teach something where people would walk away from the workshop with something tangible, not necessarily just a few pages of notes.
