Yeah so it’s Friday & I’m FINALLY posting about last weekend, oops! 🙂
Blaine & I had a date night. We ate dinner at this diner on Ventura Blvd called Cable’s. It was Friday night and there were only about 5 other tables with people at them. It was pretty good. We split a Veggie Burger & Onion Rings! They had a boarded up window and we kept trying to guess why. As we were paying, we found it someone shot it while they were closed. Nice.
Then we decided to stop by Cheesecake Factory for dessert. We ended up deciding to bring it home so we could eat it in bed & catch up on Grey’s Anatomy. We chose Red Velvet Cheesecake. It was SO. GOOD. Then I tracked it at livestrong.com & found out it was about 1200 calories. Yikes! Soooo good, but not 1200 calories good. At least we split it! Plus – a $9 piece of cheesecake is a RARE indulgence. A whole Red Vetvet Cheese cake was over $50. Hooooly crap. It was pretty amazing, though.
Saturday I baked and sewed a lot of the day.
I made Quinoa Tabbouleh and baked tofo for dinner and my 2nd batch of Pumpkin Spice Cookies. My recipes are both from allrecipes.com, just changed for my liking.
I also happened to sew a Belly Band or Weenie Wrap (I like that name better, lol) for Ralph who occasionally marks things in the house. He’s usually pretty good, but he likes to mark smelly things. Like dirty laundry and the trash can. I need to make him a few more so I can switch them out. He’s so cute with them on and SUCH a trooper. I was prepared for a struggle with him, but he doesn’t mess with it at all.
That’s pretty much the gist of our weekend, of what I can remember at least. Hoping to write about this weekend while things are fresh in my mind. Goal is Sunday or Monday from now on!
