I can now safely put a big ol’ proud check mark next to the “Wedding Dress” section on my to do list. Blaine actually came with me yesterday (luckily I’m not superstitious!) and I found a dress that I saw the weekend before with my mom and Kim. They didn’t have it in my size to try on and I’m filled with too much paranoia to try on a dress that’s much too small and then have to order it this close to our big day.
I was still hoping for a gorgeous vintage style lace dress like I had posted about previously, but with the wedding two months away we’re in a bit of a time crunch and living in a small town with nowhere to shop for a dress, a decision had to be made. Luckily I found a unique dress that I kept coming back to even after trying on others that was way under budget and left me free to move and breathe. When trying it on it was a tiny bit too tight, but I’m planning to lose another ten pounds or so, plus let’s just say I’m having lady issues at the moment so I don’t think it’ll be a problem at all.
The dress I posted about previously still holds my hearts, sadly. I’m hoping that I can just think back on our wedding day and not regret just ordering that dress online. I honestly don’t trust buying something that important online and I don’t think it would be the right cut for my figure anyway, so I’m going to go with that and keep reminding myself of that. Keep reminding me too, ok?
Either way – I’m done dress shopping! Invitations are (finally) going out tomorrow and I’m going to spend today putting up an RSVP form on our website. I need to make a final “to do” list of what needs to be done to make the day go smoothly since the entire thing is in our hands.
