Sheesh. I can’t believe I haven’t posted this month yet and we’re half way through! I have a few posts in my drafts, but nothing finished. I have tons of pictures I want to edit and post from around town, our vegas trip, etc. But for now I figure just a long winded, possibly boring to anyone but myself, “what’s going on around here” post is in order.
Lately I’ve been working on getting design projects done (a post on that soon, I’m sure!) and it’s exciting that I’m installing 3 finished designs this week alone! New projects have slowed down just a bit which has been giving me more time to work on Kintage. I’ve been bringing in more and more new inventory, interacting on social media with my amazing customers more and as a result, business has been growing. It’s finally where I see a direct relation between my interaction on social media and sales. Loving it!
We have a growing pile of junk (ok, not junk) in our guest room waiting for met to get organized and have a yard sale. But I’m not ready to do it until I can go through every inch of this house and purge it. And with Kintage growing the way it is, that room might have to turn back into a stock room because I don’t know how much more my office closet can handle.
The weather has been soooo nice lately that I just love being outside. Instead of letting the dogs out in the morning and thinking to myself “holy geze, how long does it take to pee?!”, I go out there and happily scoop dog poop just to extend my time in the morning sun before I have to come inside and sit at my computer all day.
My garden. Oh, my garden. Well. Out of all the seeds I planted, 5 survived. These were big enough that I had to repot them into larger pots. The others? Well, we don’t get a lot of sunlight in our house so I had to move them from window to window to window throughout the day so they’d get enough sun. One night I forgot about them in one window and it got too cold so they died. Boo. I think I’ll just go get some plants from Home Depot or the local nursery instead of trying seeds again.
Another exciting thing that’s going on around here is our fence! Last weekend Blaine spent the entire weekend, I’m talking every ounce of daylight, working on the fence. He has the posts and the cross pieces up, we’re just waiting on the fence boards. Don’t even get me started about the place we’re getting them from. They are cheap, but they are so slow and haven’t answered their phone all week when we’ve called to find out if they have a delivery date for us yet. So frustrating. But at least until then, Blaine can work on the new chicken coop.
P.S. Apparently all hell is breaking loose and Google Reader is being discontinued. If you use google reader and need to find something new, I highly recommend Bloglovin’. I’ve been using it for over a year now. You can follow me on Bloglovin’ here 🙂
I added you on Bloglovin! And put you in my favorites category :)We have had pet rats several times and we love them! Sad that Olive is getting so old and its nearing the end. That Chipotle looks so good… we love going there. and since it about an hour away we always go when we can!
P.S. Love your new hair!
Thank you!! 🙂 About rats/olive, aren’t they the sweetest? I think it freaks people out that an adult has a pet rat, but I adore them. And our nearest Chipotle is about 40 minutes away so we go when we can too! Before we moved here, my husband and I worked a few miles away from each other and there was a Chipotle in the middle so we’d go there several times a week. So yummy! Thanks for the sweet compliment on my hair! I’m loving it too! 🙂
Your hair looks awesome!!! I can’t wait to hear about your trip to the golf course! Seriously what a find on those pictures, such a good deal!
Thanks, Tamara! I edited a bunch of photos today, we had way too much fun exploring and taking pictures. And I know, right? I’m in love with them both. <3
