Vegetarianism. I’m not one of those preachy Vegetarians that tries to turn meat eaters. In fact, I usually don’t bring it up unless I have to because I don’t like feeling like I have to explain myself. I know that my answers sound stupid to people who could care less, so what’s the point? Plus after I answer their response is usually something like “I couldn’t give up meat. I like it too much.” or “Who cares? They’re animals.” and then what am I supposed to say? Awkward.
Labeling myself as a Vegetarian is tough enough, but I think Blaine, as a guy, has more trouble with the judgement. He’s been teased by co-workers, friends, family members, etc. People assume I forced him into becoming a Vegetarian which is not even a little bit true. I never guilted him or told him he was a bad person for eating meat, ever. For some reason being a female Vegetarian is much more accepted than being a male Vegetarian. Because making a choice on what to put into your body based on compassion for animals and health somehow makes you less manly or something. Kind of stupid, right?
Now I’d like to dedicate the rest of this post to some dudes you may recognize that choose not to eat meat and are still pretty manly.

Love this and will be sharing with my boyfriend! It is completely stupid that it’s more acceptable for women to be vegetarians. Because men shouldn’t care about their health, too? It’s feminine to care that another living thing is being treated badly? Ugh.
I agree, it doesn’t make any sense!
