In general, life is good these days! After all the drama and heartache of the last few months I am thankfully leading a “boring” life of staying home, working and visiting with family. I wanted to just take a few moments to catch up with what’s been going on in our life lately.
Atlas is starting physical therapy tomorrow! He has a minor case of torticollis and it’s causing the back of his head to be flat on one side. He’s actually been pretty good about turning his head both ways lately and I can already tell the shape of his head is evening out a bit. We’ll see what they say tomorrow because his muscles aren’t all that tight, but we want to make sure it’s caught early.
I go so much crap from people when I said I was going to cloth diaper and seriously, we love it. We do prefolds and covers and it is not even a big deal. We use disposables at night and when we’re gone for more than a few hours at the moment and even that makes my stomach turn.
We booked a trip to Utah for our anniversary this year! We’re going for four nights and we’re bringing Atlas with us. Before I had him I assumed that during trips and such we’d want to leave him with someone. That may be the case when he gets older, but we just adore him so much that we absolutely want him with us on all of our trips for now!
How are the holiday’s creeping up on us already? I’m not ready! I know it’s still September, but once October hits it’s suddenly New Years and I have no idea where all the time went. This year is going to be extremely hard without my dad. I feel bad that I haven’t even been able to dedicate a post to him. I wrote one about my dog when she passed away and it makes me feel guilty that I just can’t bring myself to write about my dad yet.
Speaking of my dad, I’ve started vlogging again. Capturing memories on video has become extremely important to me after realizing we have virtually no video of my dad. We have a few short clips here and there and pictures just don’t show the life he had the way video does. Between that and Atlas changing everyday I’ve become obsessed with recording our daily lives and had to buy a 5TB External Hard Drive to store all the video.
Postpartum hair loss is real. That’s all I have to say about that.
Things are generally pretty quiet around our house. During the days I hang with the little guy and do work when (if) he naps and at night. I’m pretty exhausted and I’m thinking I need to cut back on something and enjoy a little down time here and there.
P.S. I’m currently booking blog designs for late September/early October. Get more info here if you’ve been looking to start or redesign your blog!
