It looks like I’ve joined the Mac family! As an early Mother’s Day gift from Atlas (aka my mom) I was lucky enough to get a MacBook Air. I’ve always had PC’s because that’s just what I’ve always had, but also because I thought Mac’s were overpriced and not worth the hype. But I’ve also always secretly wanted one. They are just so sleek and pretty compared to PC’s. So far I’m loving it, but only time will tell if I’m truly an Apple convert or not.I’m still getting to know this new computer, how to navigate and all the little tricks. If you have any tips, apps, etc. you recommend please leave them in the comments below.
What a great computer. I think my biggest tips are to not get overwhelmed by all the features. But you’re s blogger and probably won’t. The Apple Store has classes too if you ever want more hands on help. I should’ve taken one when I was just getting started.
I’ve heard about their classes! I’ve been watching some YouTube videos to clarify things when I get lost. So far so good 🙂
Congratulations on the MacBook Air! I have one too and LOVE it! Everything is so intuitive. I hope you enjoy it and become a convert. The last Mac I had lasted seven years and I used it hard every day. I am hoping this one is just as durable. The best thing about it is that it doesn’t get viruses very easily and is easy to clean with CleanMyMac. I did have trouble downloading photos off my old computer though. For some reason, it copied all my photos multiple times and didn’t put them all in the same albums I had them in. It has been quite a job trying to delete all the extras. I started off with about 27,000 pictures and now have about 18,000. I should have only transferred about 10,000. I think the duplicates came when I asked it to copy to MyCloud. That has been my only glitch though and I have had it for over a year.
Thanks! I’m still getting used to it, but really loving it so far. As a PC user for the last 20 years, it’s a little tough to get used to because I’ve been doing everything one way for so long. I have SO many pictures, getting them onto an external hard drive and then onto this computer has been a process! I’m still working on it 😉
